This beautiful drum is so Grounding! You can feel the strong, solid energy of the Red Mahogany Tree, rooting deep into the ground. It guides you to access the deepest parts of yourself, slowing down to the stillest point of being. Combind with Fallow Deer and it's beautiful spotty pattern, this drum brings you straight into the heart, your heart, the heart of the land and straight to the heart of whatever is presenting infront of you.
Red Mahogany is an incredibly dense wood, so this drum is a little heavier than our Ash or willow drums. It is an incredibly tricky wood to work with, and so it may be the only one I ever make.
The Copper ring inlay encourages movement and energy flow through the drum. A truely incredible Earth Element drum!

Our all new Tuneable Signature Series Drums offer an amazing design to easily tune your drum in less than a minute and make adjustments within seconds.
To tune your drum, simply start at the reference knob (the one with the logo), placing your fingers on opposite ends of the knob, touching the wood, turn the knob in a clockwise direction (right for tight) until you reach the other side of the wood. Then work your way around teh entire drum, until you have adjusted all the knobs. Then test your drum, and if you want her higher, repeat above.
It is important to tension evenly around the entire drum. If you turn one knob, make sure to work your way around the drum.
When you are finished playing, make sure to de-tune your drum by working your way around the drum, but this time turning in an anti-clockwise direction. By storing your drum "untuned" you will ensure your drum does not overstreach.
It is recommended to not take out any tuning knobs, however if this does occur, please turn the knob gently in the anti-clockwise direction first, until you hear a click, then begin turning it in a clockwise direction. Do not force the knob at any time. Make sure if you do take a knob out that you do not get any dirt or sand in the thread.
Hoop drums are made with care and love. Please take care of them.
It is important to keep them safe, DO NOT place them on anything sharp or rocky ground face down. Always set them down Face up.
Over time your drum can loose the oils in the skin. If you notice that your drum looks a little dry and white areas are appearing, you can nourish your drum with one of our drum care kits.
