Returns & Refunds

Spirit Drum does not do returns or refund on Change of mind purchases.  

​

Faulty merchandise:  We must be notified of any faults within 7 days of receiving your order.  Products must then be returned within 14 days.  Products that have been returned and are deemed faulty will be replaced where possible, if not a full refund will be given.  Please ensure that you read all instructions that accompany your product before use, as we do not do returns and refunds on products where instructions have not been followed.

Many of our creations and supplies are made from natural materials.  Natural materials include variations in colour, textures, thickness, size etc.  Many of these factors are out of our control and vary based on seasonal availability.  If you are purchasing suppliers for drum making, we do our best to provide you with a hide that will fit your hoop.  However there is often flexibility that is needed.  For example you may have to have less overlay on the back of your drum or in some cases you may even need to have your hide only come up half way up your drum hoop. This does not effect the sound or quality of your drum in any way and is part of the flexibility needed when working with natural materials.

Please also note that if you are ordering multiple hides, we are not able to sort through all of our hides to ensure that you receive the exact sizes that you want, as this can take considerable time and leaves our other customers with only small hides.

We do our best to ensure that there are no holes in the centre of the hides, at times there may be small holes on the outer edges of the hide.  It is the responsibility of the drum maker to check hides before they cut or use them.  The best way to do this is to soak the hide first, as this will help reveal any holes, and then if for some reason you do find a hole in the centre of your hide, please set the hide aside and allow it to dry and then follow the returns procedure above.  We cannot accept return of hides once they have been cut in any way.

All care is taken in the creation of your sacred items. Due to the natural components of our creations, we cannot offer refunds outside of the above perameters.  All care is taken to ensure our creations are made well and will last, however there are some factors that are outside of our control.  

 

Damage caused from not following suggested care instructions will not receive a replacement or refund.

Due to the natural nature of many of our products, products received may vary slightly in colour, texture, thickness etc.

This is not considered a fault.

​

Refunds will be issued within 10 business days, from day of agreement.

 

Returns Procedure

 

To return faulty merchandise please follow this easy procedure:

 

    1 - Contact shop@spiritdrum.com.au to advise us of the fault, please include photo’s.

    2 - You should receive a response within 5 business days.

    3 - Once we have determined the fault, we will replace your items, you will get a confirmation email to let you know your

          items are on the way.

 

Cancellations

We do not permit cancellation of orders for change of mind.  If you have a special circumstance, please email us and we will consider a cancellation.  If we agree to a cancellation of your order, you will only be able to receive a full refund if you contact us before your parcel is shipped.  If the purchased goods have already been shipped, no cancellation will be permitted.

Events and Covid Policy

 

We no longer offer refunds for events.  Please ensure that before committing to an event that you are sure you can attend. In special circumstances, and at the discretion of Spirit Drum, we will offer a transfer to another event.  In very exceptional circumstances we will offer a refund minus a $100 admin and payment processing fee.

​

If the facilitator or the participant is unable to attend due to Covid, which means that there is a health order to isolate, new dates will be offered and participants will be offered a transfer.  We understand it can be challenging to find dates that work for everyone, however we will do our best to accomodate everyone.  In the event that we can not find a suitable date for you, at our discretion you will either be given a credit to our online shop, to use in a future event or at the sole discretion of Spirit Drum a refund minus a $100 admin and payment processing fee.

 

Shipping Policy

​

We endeavour to ship your order to you within 5 business days.  

If products are on back order or unavailable, you will be notified within 3 business days with replacement options or possible time delays.  

If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days. Please allow additional days in transit for delivery. If there will be a significant delay in shipment of your order, we will contact you via email or telephone.

 

We ship with Australian Post.  

Postage is based on weight and location.  

You will receive a tracking number via email once goods have been shipped.

Spirit Drum is not liable for any shipping company delays, products damaged or lost during shipping. If you received your order damaged, please contact the shipment carrier to file a claim.

​

If an item needs to be returned for any reason, the cost of shipping is at the expense of the customer.  

If the return is due to a fault, we will send out your new items, free of charge.

Online Education and Courses

​

We do not offer refunds for change of mind registration or purchase.

 

In the event that you have an extreme circumstance please email us and a refund or partial refund may be available up to 7 days before course start date.  This will be at the discretion of Spirit Drum.  Please note that any processing fees are non-refundable.

​

For on demand courses or self paced courses, no refunds are available.  

 

Any scholarship offers are Non-refundable.

​

Please think carefully before enrolling in an online course or workshop.
